Juvenile Crime

In the past, the main goal of the juvenile justice system was rehabilitation. Therefore, many parents make the mistake of thinking that their minor son’s or daughter’s juvenile offence adjudication (conviction) will be removed from their record when they reach adulthood. With the passage of Proposition 21 in 1999, and under California’s three strikes rule, their record is not expunged, and the charged offense may count as a strike against them, depending upon the type and seriousness of the offense. The criminal defense and juvenile law office of Michael R. Bruggeman, P.C., has an excellent reputation throughout the Southern California Juvenile Court system for our serious, dedicated efforts to help minors keep their records clear of offenses that may affect their future. In fact, Mr. Bruggeman is appointed on a regular basis by the Superior Court of Orange County to represent minors who cannot afford lawyers.

Attorney Michael R. Bruggeman has over a decade of experience, including valuable experience as a prosecuting attorney where he learned firsthand how the prosecutors and judges view juvenile law cases. As a third-generation Southern California native, he knows California laws and he knows how the California judicial system works.

If your minor child has been charged with an offense and faces a juvenile court hearing, contact the Southern California juvenile court attorney’s office of Michael R. Bruggeman, P.C. Let us help keep your child’s future clear for opportunities.

We don’t believe in juvenile delinquency. The Juvenile Court’s goal should be to rehabilitate minors, not ruin their futures.

We believe that the most important thing we can do for minors is to help them understand that there is at least one adult who will work hard to defend their rights.
