Three Strikes Law
Under the California Penal Code, and specifically sections 667.5, 1170, and 1192 et seq., most violent and serious felonies are punished under the California three strikes regime. This complex body of law basically mandates that those convicted of such crimes will do 85 percent of any prison sentence, and, upon conviction of a felony after two strike convictions, will serve a life sentence. Even one strike conviction has deleterious effects on one’s future life. The criminal defense law office of Michael R. Bruggeman, P.C., aggressively defends felony charges that will result in an enhanced three strikes law penalty. Attorney Michael R. Bruggeman has over a decade of criminal law trial and appeals experience, including time working as a prosecutor and public defender. The firm has earned a reputation for integrity and hard work, particularly when it comes to defending clients from the three strikes penalties that are often unjustly imposed. If you have been charged with a serious felony such as assault, manslaughter, or weapons charges to which the three strikes law could apply, you need determined, aggressive defense.
